Final Part 4 Video Critque

Summary: The video was about a 6 year old George who had cancer and had a wish to play with the Panthers and Cam Newton. George Got his wish after he went into intermission and was drafted to the Panthers in the 2014 NFL Draft. George got to go to Carolina and spend the day with Cam and the Panthers. He got to do many things with the team even practice with them.

The video was good with Broll, interviews, a great story, and a good voice over. The video told a great story about a kid who had a dream come true when he got to play for the Panthers for a day. It was also told buy the families point of view and the kids which the director id a great job of telling it that way and not making it sound like it was coming from him. I liked the voice over and would like to use that in my work and also the Broll wasn't just from far away but up close and in the middle of the action and that is also something else i would like to apply to my work. I already new about the six shot sequence and the 180 rule that was used in the video. He did a great job telling the story it didnt leave out any part of it. It told the story from the beginning when George got sick to him winning and defeating cancer to the end where he got his dream to come true and played for the Carolina Panthers. The video was great and I wouldn't of added anything or taken anything away. I really liked the video and thought they did a great got making it.

Final part 3

How to Film, Edit, and Blog a project.

First you have to go to the game or event and film it and get an interview with whoever was in charge or an important person involved. Then you go and download the clips from the SD card to the computer. Next you look through the clips and choose your favorites that you want to use, then you edit them down so they look clean and put them into the story. After that you do the same for the interview and you put it into the story to where it makes since so that you can edit the other clips using the J and L edit so that you have b-roll overlapping your interview to make it look better. Then you export the video as a 720pixels to your desktop. Next you go to your Youtube page and you import the video to your youtube. Once its done importing you go to share under the video and then to embed and copy the code.
Then you go to your blog and click on the HTML tab in the top left and past the code.
Then you go back to the compose tab and the video should show up. After that you write a story over your project, put a Title, and then click the publish button. Thats how you film, edit, export, import, and write a blog.

Final part 2 Article

The article is about the most important games left in this years NFL season. It talks about all the games and what would happen if this team won or if the other team won it also talks about their rankings and where they are in there division.
The strengths that the author has in the story is that he knows what he is talking about and has multiple areas to get info for his story, Its also from ESPN so they get all the information from the teams and the pros themselves.  A weakness is he talks about some teams and games more than others which kind of makes you think he knows more about others than others. The author main idea was that there are still important games left in the year even though there are some teams that already in the playoffs.
I liked the story because it talked about multiple games and why they where important to the teams playing and it showed that there are a lot of tight leads in most of the divisions still. The author also is knew what he was talking about and made the story interesting because it connected some of the key games left and how if something happened it could change the other games. The author also made it interesting so that know you would want to watch the games he talked about to see who would win.

Finals Part 1 Soccer recap

The Men’s soccer team had a great season, finishing with a 15-3-1 record. Numerous individual records were broken as well, Connor Jokerst broke the single season scoring record with 19 goals, and Chris Cotton broke the single season asset record with 13 assists. Goalie, Charlie Holmgren also broke the fewest goals allowed in a season. Congratulations to the team on having such an amazing season. Zach Clay and Matt Vanderslice have the video story.

This assignment was a recap of the Ravens mens soccer team season and we interviewed Griffin King a varsity soccer player about the year. We had got the film from the soccer games through out the season, then we interviewed Griffin King for the project, next we edited the film and finished the project for our show.
What I learned is how to interview a person outside when it was windy and how to use the best of the interviews to make the project look good. I would interview more people and get more clips of the soccer team through out the year instead of the end when jest me and Zach filmed because then it would make the video better. I would do the interview outside if I had to do it again and I would have filmed Griffin because he gave good answers and it made the project better.
I will take away a few things from this project like how to film outside when its windy and how to get clips from one computer to another when you don't have a clip on your computer. I thought the project was good we had good clips, a good interview that didn't take place just in the hallway, and we got the project done on time and it gave the information that was needed.
