Postcards

I Decided to do the top 3 postcards because i liked them all and that they were my best looking ones i decided to do the happy holidays one because it is almost christmas time and the fall because it is my favorite type of year. i had to over come the problems of having to get the images in to the words and also fitting the other pictures into it.I learned how to put images into the words and make a boarder around pictures. i liked this project because we got to choose what we did and the images we used in it.

Lego Day At ONW
I Liked the lego day one better because i was able to take my time and get it done and the blood drive you had one day to film and get it done or you wouldn't have a good project and my groups SD card wasn't working so we didn't get as much as we wanted. I liked how the blood drive was a live event and how you had to change the way you prepared going into it and that the lego project you could go out and film for days and then come back and finish it. i will use that for next year when i am in sports and filming the players. i think i could have prepared better for the blood drive and lego projects if i new what i was going to talk about first.

 

I learned how too embed music and how to set makers to change the music when it hit the beat. First my group and I choose are song then we made out a story and a mood board to go with the song, next we went out and filmed all of our shots that we needed, then we came back and edited the movie. I learned how to use markers to go with the beat, how to detach the music and then add the music for our song, I also learned how to use the key board to edit the film and not just use the mouse. i would probably try to make the song go a little better with the film and also make it a smoother transition from one part of the song to another. i would probably ask to do a different song. i will remember how to use the keyboard shortcuts and also how to detach the music. I didn't mind the project I think it would have been better if my group had done a different song.

we had to use pixel fringe and make the project better and to make the image look better. i first had to go find an image so i choose the lion and then i had to find a background for it then i had to make a shadow for the lion. i learned how to make a shadow for the lion and make it look good and use the color from the ground in the shadow. i would have probably used a different image because it was hard to make the lion and the shadows for it. i would probably use the same background because i liked it. i learned how to make a good shadow for my next projects. i liked the project but i think we should have had more time to work on it because it was kind of a hard project.

We started out learning about pixel fringe and how to make them look better. First i got the mountain out of its original picture then i put it in withe the sky and made the tip for the mountain and then covered it up with  cloud, i also had to find two other images and i choose Waldo and Sasquatch and then dropped my name in behind Waldo.

 I learned how to crop out images from there original photo and then also how to take part of a cloud and make a duplicate of it and then move it over the mountian and i also learned Command Shift J is to take out what you have selected and put it on a new layer.

i would probably try to make the cloud a little better looking then what ti does. i would put on the other images again if i had to. i will remember how to get images out of here backgrounds and make the pixels look good.i liked the project but i think we should have had more time to work on it than just a week but i really liked the project.

i liked the photoshop one better because it looks better and also i like it better than my basketball one i used different tools like inner glow and different types of masks on it and on illustrator i learned how to cut the basketball in half and then making it into a sphere which was harder because the tutorial that i had to use was for the older edition of illustrator.

I learned how to use the color correcting to make some of my shots brighter and not dark and having to add shadows to the shots that I made brighter. I also learned how to shorten down my film from 3 minutes to 1:30 minutes which was hard because you had to choose what shots to cut and what shots to keep even if some of the shots you might have needed but took up a lot of time. I learned how to cut music and make it so that the music goes with the scenes and also having it so that the music goes together with each other and not sound weird and to overlap the music to make it sound good. We learned how to use markers in the music so that when you make a scene change it was on thee beat of the music. Matthew Vanderslice.

In photoshop and illustrator we i made two red spheres looking at my sketches that i had made i also used different tools on both of the spheres i think that it was easier to use illustrator and i also like using it better then photoshop and also i understand it better than photoshop. I think i am way better at using illustrator than photoshop because i haven't used photoshop besides last year in quarter 1. there was a lot of different things to do in photoshop then in illustrator.

The song that my group chooses was fifteen by Taylor swift. We had to do a lot of new things on this project because we had to make it like a music video and have it go by the lyrics to the song and we had to make a mood board and do all of the stuff at the start of the project. I think that the group worked alright together and that we used everyone’s ideas in each shot that we took and worked with each other to make the mood and story board. Think that we could have gotten better shots showing the movement and not skipping down the hall and that. I wanted to do a different song because I didn’t want to have to do a music video over fifteen. I think that the group could have worked harder to use everyone’s thoughts and that we just used what we had thought of on the first day we started on it.

I used the colors red and Blue because they are colors that majority of people like and also it looks good together i also used the font and the triangle because it makes it look like the M and can see the V. i learned how to make a stroke and make it bolder. i think i could have used my time better and it looked a little weird and so i used the pathfinder tool and the expand appearance and the ungrouping buttons to make it look better. i need to work on using the same colors on the M and the triangle and making the strokes look the same.  i named it The Matthew Vanderslice.

i learned how to put the lines going across in by using the expand appearance and other buttons i liked that we got to pick what we wanted to do. i think could have made my name better and even with the stuff above it. i want to learn more about putting images from the internet into my work.

. In 1982 Sergey Bien created a computerized google logo using GIMP. The Google logo was changed from a uppercase "G" to a lowercase "g" on a blue background. 

I learned how to use the six shoot's sequence to make a good video about the chase than what i like to do. i will apply the transition and the panning to my next video to make it look better and make it more active i will also use the zoom in and white out button inside like how i did in this project. collaboration was different in this project hen the others because this one was more of a group project and not like the first two videos where you did something you liked to do and also you could use everyone idea in this project and choose the best one that you and your group could agree on. i could improve my collaboration in my next project by working with everyone in the group not just one person. I got Bernard MT Condensed as my font and i think it is a good font for me. I got Rational, Understated, progressive, and disuplined i think that is right because i am usually Rational and disuplined  and i think there is sometimes i am progressive and understated.

                                                           I learned how to use all of the six shots better  and how to make it go together. I will use this to help me on my next video with showing people the transition of the person or objet from one place to another. collaboration is wiring together with your partner to make the video better it helped us make a better video.

In this project i learned how to use illustrator and all of the short cuts you can use on the computer. i also learned how to make different things in illustrator using symbols and the different types of lines and vectors that i got to use when making my stuff. i also learned the different keyboard short cuts like command A which selects everything and other short cuts like that. i also learned how to wrap images to objects and take images from the internet and put them on illustrator.

 In video I learned about the six shots, the extreme close up which shows the figure or object doing something up close, the close up which shows the figure and the figure doing something, the MS which shows the figure from the hips up and what its doing, wide shot which shows the figure and what is around it, extreme wide shot shows everything around the figure and gives you more of a clue on what they are doing, OTS shows what the figure is doing. I learned how to do all of the six shots and how to use them and when it is better to use one or the other. I will use it in the next film to make the audience more interested and what to watch the film and to make the video more interesting and look better than just shooting everything in one or two shot forms know I can use all the shot forms.

Graphic Design is many things and can help you do may things like connect with people through your art and designs. it is also a visual communication that combines images, words, and ideas to convey information. you can also use it as a way to show your self through your designs.
